Info-Drive clocks Rs 86 lakh net in Q3

CHENNAI-BASED, Info-Drive Software, which saw a change in management last year, has posted a net profit of Rs 86.66 lakh in the quarter ending December 31, 2007 and total income of Rs 50.48 crore. In the same period last year, the company did not report any result. In the first nine months of this year, it reported net profit of Rs 6.25 crore and a turnover of Rs 152.51 crore against Rs 1.90 lakh and total income of Rs 9 lakh respectively in the same period last year.

In August 2006, Info-Drive was acquired by Bharti Information Technology Systems (Bitech). It became a promoter of Info-Drive after complying with the Sebi regulations. Its paid up capital increased to Rs 29.23 crore (Rs 5 crore).

In a statement, Info-Drive said post-acquisition, Bitech focused on restructuring the operations by repositioning the business model of the company, identifying niche business avenues for IT services and BPO and expanding the board with highly qualified directors. This is said to have improved its performance this year.
