Shri Srinivasa Rao Govindan, was a General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India and retired in the year 1994. Shri Srinivasa Rao Govindan has two Master's degree in Economics and Political Science from Madras/Sri Venkateshwara University respectively and he has a Law Degree from the University of Madras. Through his career spanning over 35 years in the Reserve Bank of India, he has had a stint in virtually each and every area of central banking. His experience covers Foreign Exchange Department and Department of Banking Supervision since November 1985. Prior to his appointment as General Manager, he had served in Industrial Development Bank of India and Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation. After his Superannuation from the services of the Reserve Bank of India, he enrolled himself in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in the year 1994 and presently handles issues arising out of application of Foreign Exchange Management Act and appears before Appellate Tribunal For Foreign Exchange /Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.
Senior business executive with significant CXO level experience in IT Services, Outsourcing & Product companies in managing P&L, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships & Alliances at Board levels. His experience spans 23 years in the IT Industry, having been involved in a variety of roles, from sales to building organizations to managing P&L for the last 17 years of which 10 years have been in Europe. In the last seventeen years Ratish has quickly adjusted to business changes and achieved world class performances by adapting new techniques, models and in depth planning to facilitate strategies transforming into operational plans and actions.
His experience spans 23 years in the IT Industry, having been involved in a variety of roles, from sales to building organizations to managing P&L for the last 17 years. He has held senior positions in various esteemed organisations like ICL/ Fujitsu ICIM in India, HCL Technologies ( Germany), iGATE Global Solutions ( London).
His strength lies in that of a very good understanding of business models and an ability to help secure and maximize the value by ensuring creativity both at a strategic level and also in the front line to accomplish the shift that competitive business demands. This he is confident would help organization’s accelerate and boost its strategies and help take a lead position.
Ratish’s biggest strength that he has gained in the last 23 years is to understand how innovation necessitates experimentation. He has a clear understanding of the complex and ambiguous world of business. This has reinforced confidence in his ability to meet business demands and seize the opportunities created, and above all the ability to accept and learn from failure. Knowledge Management through network has enabled him to keep the team and organisation abreast with the latest technology trends and thereby staying ahead of competition. This has helped Ratish become an even more effective leader.
Currently Ratish manages the global relationship with Global System Integrators at SAS Institute Inc. and is also part of the Global Leadership team.
